Hi! My name is Pauline Gibson and I am a Nutrition Network Advisor, specializing in a low-carb lifestyle. I also have a certificate as a Health and Nutrition Life Coach from Transformation Services. I am currently pursuing my Certified Health Coach certification thru the Certified Health Coach Institute.
A health coach is someone who will come along side you to help you achieve your health and wellness goals. You decide what you want to work on. The health coach provides encouragement and information to help you achieve your goals.
While all the areas of wellness are important, I have chosen to focus on nutrition. My area of expertise is in therapeutic carbohydrate restricted eating, referred to as low-carb. I have found it helpful in managing blood sugar disorders as well as for weight management.
If you choose not to go low-carb, I am certainly willing to work with you on a way of eating that aligns with what you feel your body needs. You are the expert on your body.
I would love to have the opportunity to work with you on your health and nutrition goals.
Low-carb eating is where you lower the amount of carbohydrates you eat. Carbohydrates are basically plants. This includes lower-carb foods such as lettuce, green beans, and broccoli. Higher carb foods include grains, root vegetables, and most fruits. The most common carb that causes problems is sugar.
Going low-carb does not mean you have to give up everything. You just need to choose your carbs wisely and control the amount you eat. Some people can eat more carbs than others. It is highly recommended that you closely monitor your blood sugar levels to ensure they stay within a healthy range while doing low-carb.
Low-carb eating is highly effective for weight loss in most people. Many people have found this way of eating to improve their health in so many ways. If you feel this way of eating could be helpful to you, contact me and we can discuss this in more detail.
